I am very excited to be starting my 8th year with Cedarville Elementary, and would love to share a little bit about myself with you all.
I earned my bachelor’s degree from The University of Toledo in 2006 with a concentration in Middle Childhood Education: Language Arts and Social Studies. After graduation, I started my first teaching position at Horizon Science Academy in Dayton, Ohio where I taught 8th grade language arts for one year. The next step on my teaching journey led me to Piqua City Schools. I enjoyed teaching social studies and language arts to 4th grade students for 8 years. While teaching for Piqua, I earned my master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Bowling Green State University in 2010. I am now happy to begin my 16th year of teaching!
I currently reside in Huber Heights, Ohio with my supportive husband of 15 years, Rob, and our beautiful daughter, Kendall. She just began her freshman year in college at Wright State University! In my free time, I enjoy reading, swimming, bowling, playing games, laughing, walking, and spending time with my family.
In my classroom, I have very high expectations for all students and sincerely believe all students can learn and reach them. I enjoy making learning meaningful and fun. Please never hesitate to contact me with questions, concerns or ideas. I look forward to partnering with you in your child’s education. I assure you we share the same goal of wanting what is best for your child.
